At Paragon Pools, every project starts with a conversation. Before the design, before the digging, before anything gets built, there’s someone helping homeowners understand what’s possible in their backyard.
Dalton Cedar is often the first person homeowners connect with when they start thinking about a pool. As a Design Coordinator, he helps answer questions, walk through options, and set the foundation for what comes next. We sat down with him to talk about his role, what he’s learned so far, and what homeowners should know before building a pool.
Starting the Conversation
Dalton’s role is all about connecting with homeowners early in their decision-making process. Whether someone is just starting to explore options or ready to schedule a consultation, he helps guide that first step.
“My day-to-day really depends on the call,” Dalton said. “Sometimes it’s quick, and I’m just helping someone schedule an appointment. Other times, I’m walking them through fiberglass pools, answering questions, and helping them figure out what might work best for their space.”
Every homeowner comes in with a different level of knowledge, and Dalton’s goal is to meet them where they are. Some people want a quick answer. Others want to understand everything before moving forward. “I try to give them as much information as possible so they can make the right decision for their home,” he said.
Learning the Industry from the Ground Up
Dalton’s path into the pool industry wasn’t something he had planned, but it quickly became something he enjoys. “Our Sales Manager, Dylan, offered me the opportunity,” he said. “I didn’t expect to end up in the pool industry, but it’s been a great experience so far.”
Even in his first few months, Dalton has gained a deeper understanding of what goes into building a pool and what homeowners should be looking for when comparing options.
A Company Built on Doing Things Right
One of the things that stood out to Dalton early on was Paragon Pools’ approach to customers and projects. “The integrity of the company is what I respect most,” he said. “We stand by what we do. We’re not trying to get a leg up on someone for extra money. We’re upfront and honest with people.”
That approach shows up in conversations with homeowners every day. Instead of pushing a sale, the focus is on helping people understand their options and make informed decisions. “It’s not about convincing someone,” Dalton said. “It’s about giving them the information they need and letting them decide what’s right.”
Seeing the Finished Product
While Dalton is involved at the beginning of each project, one of the most rewarding parts of his job is seeing how everything comes together. “Seeing the finished pool is definitely my favorite part,” he said. “You start with an empty yard, and then you see what it turns into.”
That transformation is what draws many homeowners to the process in the first place. And for the team at Paragon Pools, it’s a reminder of the impact their work has on how people use and enjoy their homes.
What Sets Paragon Pools Apart
To Dalton, Paragon Pools’ difference shows up in how they treat customers and handle each project. “It comes back to integrity,” he said. “We’re respectful, we’re honest, and we stand by our product. We’re not cutting corners, and we’re not trying to upsell people on things they don’t need.”
That mindset also plays a role in long-term quality. Building a pool isn’t just about how it looks on day one. It’s about how it performs years down the road. “We focus on doing things the right way so the pool lasts,” he said.
Advice for Homeowners Starting the Process
If you’re starting to think about a pool, Dalton recommends slowing down and being as informed as possible before making decisions. “Do your research,” he said. “Ask questions and don’t be afraid to take your time. The more you understand going in, the better decisions you’ll make.”
That’s something the team at Paragon Pools encourages at every stage. A well-informed homeowner is more confident in their choices and ultimately more satisfied with the final result.
